About the YouTube Monetization Calculator
The YouTube Monetization Calculator is a free tool that helps creators and aspiring creators answer two questions: "How far is my channel from monetization?" and "What could my views earn per month?" No sign-up is needed. Enter your numbers and see the result right away.
What it does
- Eligibility check — enter subscribers, watch hours, Shorts views, and uploads to see whether you meet YouTube Partner Program tier 1 and tier 2, with an estimate of when you will get there.
- Monthly earnings estimate — uses your monthly long-form and Shorts views and a niche-based RPM to show low, average, and high earnings plus a yearly figure.
- Earnings by views — a quick table of expected earnings at common view counts.
How it is calculated
Estimated earnings are views ÷ 1,000 × RPM. RPM is what a creator earns per 1,000 views. The default RPM ranges per niche are rough estimates based on commonly reported figures. For the most accurate result, find your own RPM in the Analytics tab of YouTube Studio and enter it.
Please note
- Results are reference estimates and not a guarantee of earnings.
- RPM varies a lot by audience country, niche, season, and ad rates.
- Monetization requirements can change. Check the latest rules in YouTube Studio before you apply.
- This is an unofficial tool and is not affiliated with YouTube or Google.
